After briefly testing out Firefox 57 I immediately knew that this update was going to be a major problem for me so have reverted back to Firefox 56. From what I understand it is supposed to be twice as fast as previous versions which is good news but unfortunately the lack of support for so many great add-ons that work with Firefox 56 is disappointing. These were add-ons that made FF so functional and easy to use but also saved me a great deal of time. Without these Legacy add-ons being supported in FF57 the speed of the browser isn't going to help me get things done quicker.

I wanted to contact Mozilla by email to recommend the add-ons I believe should be developed for future updates of the browser. At present I am happy with the way Firefox 56 works. It may not be the quickest browser, but I would not say it is that slow and with nearly all of the add-ons I have installed working as they should, this for me is still a great browser.

As I intend to stick with FF56 for as long as possible my main concern now is to do with the security of this version because an outdated browser could become vulnerable to hacks, but I am also unhappy that the Legacy add-ons will no longer be developed to make them even better than they already are. I am aware that there is a list of recommended replacements for Legacy add-ons but most of these are unsuitable and of inferior quality.

I would appreciate it if a moderator could provide me with an email address so I can contact the development team of the Mozilla Firefox to submit my recommendations.

Thank you!

Hi

There is no email address we can pass out, but I recommend either leaving feedback here or filing a big for each issue here.

Mozilla does not do one on one contact or support by phone, chat or email.

These are Extensions you are referring to as Addons is a general term and the vast majority of Extensions being hosted on addons.mozilla.org are by a third-party author or company.

The Extensions (and dictionaries/language packs and light image themes) made by Mozilla are mostly by this account https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/user/mozilla/

Thank you for the links to leaving feedback. It's a shame that Mozilla do not provide any type of email support.

I refer to them as Add-ons but forgive me if the correct term is Extensions. I am aware that these extensions are developed by third parties but unless Mozilla are going to work with these developers to adapt the extensions for use with Firefox 57 and future versions then I don't really see the point of the Quantum browser.

Thank you for the link to Mozilla's extensions but unfortunately this is not really what i'm looking for because there are no suitable replacements for the third party ones.
