My Lightning calendar disappeared two days ago. How do I get it back--or at least the information it contained?
My Lightning calendar disappeared two days ago. How do I get it back--or at least the information it contained? I tried downloading Lightning from Mozilla website. Failed to load. Directions in Thunderbird also failed to work.
My guess is that the recent automatic update has no Lightning update to go with it, disabling Lightning and leaving me without a calendar. Not good.

The easiest thing would be to bring Thunderbird up to date then you'll automatically get the current version of Lightning.
If you have strong reasons to stay with an older version of Thunderbird, you may need to go to this page:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/
to find the appropriate version of Lightning.

Failed to load.
What does this mean?
Directions in Thunderbird also failed to work.
What directions? Please be specific.
Do you see Lightning in the Add-on Manager?

First place to go to get it is here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/
That should get you an xpi file. Here is advice on how to install the add-on from this xpi file:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-addon-thunderbird
I followed the drop and drag method and got the message, "Lightning could not be installed because it is incompatible with Thunderbird 45.4.0."
What now?
