Please update to 57.0.2 to fix ram issues and Profile issue : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version

There maybe a way do not know myself.

Depends on the Theme you use I use Black so the Active Tab is then Greyed while the rest is Black.

You may have to learn and to find : https://www.howtogeek.com/334716/how-to-customize-firefoxs-user-interface-with-userchrome.css/ and https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html and https://www.userchrome.org There is a Reddit page with code, you will have to search. https://github.com/axydavid/FirefoxUI/blob/master/README.md https://github.com/wilfredwee/photon-australis

Thanks so much for your detailed answer! I use Classic Old theme and active tab is not quite visible. I will give userchrome.css a try. Thanks again ... :)
