There was a way to delete history with my new firefox and yesterday, the delete history choice was GONE and still is, today.
I got this computer 5 days ago, and had no problem deleting history. As of yesterday, the ability to do that VANISHED! Click on the menu button, it's just not there. There should be an option for tools and it's not there.

What are your settings for the History options? Did you open that option up to see what is checked and not checked?
There's no history option at all. Yesterday, I accidently clicked on something and it said "You are now in something-something mode." Something I have never heard of at all, but I got the impression it made something super secret. Don't know that for a fact. You can tell I am not a whiz at this!

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Did you set Firefox to start in automatic private browsing mode? You can check that on the Options page. To get there:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the left column, click Privacy & Security. Then on the right side, in the History section, check for:
- Firefox will: Never remember history -or-
- Firefox will: Use custom settings for history +
- [X] Always use private browsing mode
If you have either of those, then history would not be stored as you browse and there would be no need to clear it. You may see history lingering from old regular browsing sessions. To clear that, you may need to switch out of automatic private browsing.
