I don't like the current update. what advantage does it have over the previous app?

I really like the ease and security of the previous version of foxfire. So I would like to know what makes the latest update better. Is it more secure for online surfing? Does it protect us better from hackers, big brother, trackers and melicous sites? If I do reinstall the last version what bad implications is there for my system?
