uBlock Origin does not contain any viruses, if you are having problems with SnapDo hijacker, you should run a malware scan.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller (for more info, see this alternate TDSSKiller download page)
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Firefox does check for viruses when the extensions are uploaded to the add-ons website, and surely Mozilla wouldn't add anything like that to an extension.
I am curious which application said that uBlock Origin has a virus? My guess is that was a false positive.
If you think there is a problem with uBlock Origin, the author responds regularly on the following forum:
The origin of the the snap-do contamination was: Add-on = uBlock Origin by Raymond Hill
found by SpyHunter4
Did you contact the creator of the problem?
SpyHunter4 is a well documented scam. https://spyhunter.scambook.com/company/view/32868/SpyHunter
'SnapDo' is a browser hijacker - running the malware scans as recommended by Mkll, is a must.
But also : Go to the 3-bar menu (or 'Tools') => Addons => Extensions and look for any unfamiliar or suspicious looking extensions.
When you find any : remove them.
Do the same in your system's Control Panel.
However : most malware will be 'hiding' somewhere and that's why you need to run all of those malware scans.

If your claim was true then this would not be the only thread in almost two years to have any mention of the word snapdo.
The uBlock Origin is rather popular so there would have been discussions about this here and elsewhere including the independent forums.mozillazine.org
Note Firefox is the name of the web browser as it is Mozilla that makes Firefox and runs the addons.mozilla.org site. https://developer.mozilla.org/Add-ons/AMO/Policy/Reviews https://addons.mozilla.org/faq

Spyhunter once charged me twice , solved the issue.
Spyhunter catches more than all the other virusscanners including pre-installed keyloggers on my ASUS by our chinese friends. All other virusscanners Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky missed this one. Spyhunter immediately sees and removes SnapDo and point out the source So don't call it scam. Start a business yourself and learn what complete fruitcakes are out there calling themselves misguided customers filling up scam sites. I quickly looked at your link and not impressed by the small talk.
SnapDo is installed activating the Add-on "uBlock Origin by Raymond Hill" in my Firefox browser, recommended by Firefox. That's a bloody shame

Again it is not from this extension.
Also not one mention of the word snap in the first eleven pages of reviews I quickly checked with find bar at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/reviews/
You can bring up your claim of this snapdo being installed by this uBlock Origin extension at https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/ and at support forum for addons.mozilla.org at https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/add-ons

This sentence suggests that uBlock Origin was activated by SnapDo, not the other way around.
Apparently this detection occurred once before in 2015: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/1009 (false positive)
I'd suggest not using spyhunter, contact your credit card company and get a new card number. https://malwaretips.com/threads/spyhunter-4-is-it-a-fake-software.26301/
They are a shady company that operates my giving you tons of false positives, which makes you feel like they are finding more but really they are just "detecting" things that aren't hurting your computer at all.
You need nothing more than the free windows defender, and free malwarebytes, and keep windows and Firefox up to date.
