Did Firefox add the feature 'App Nap' back onto it's latest browser updates? If so, how do I disable App Nap please? It slows down my apps on Facebook.
Does anyone know if Firefox has the feature App Nap reinstalled on their latest version of the browser? This App Nap tends to slow the performance of the browser when not in heavier use, like say when we step away from our computers or go to bed. I've noticed some apps on Facebook have really slowed down in performance when I leave them running & my computer display goes to sleep but not the main computer. Before, when this occurred, it was due to Firefox adding App Nap to their browser. Has App Nap been added again & if so how do I disable it please? I'm on an iMac using Firefox Quantum 60.0.1.
Thanks for any help.

Google "App Nap" and you'll learn more including how to disable it if you still wish to.
App Nap isn't from Mozilla and it's not part of Firefox.

I followed your advice & googled it. It appears it’s not active while using Firefox. I can’t figure out any other reasoning why the Facebook apps should slow down to less than half their regular speed. Compared to the speed of how these same Facebook apps run if I am on my computer & using Firefox continually with no breaks or sleep. They never used to slow down this much except for when app nap was enabled on the Firefox browser. This is why I thought it was an add on with Firefox.
Thanks for your suggestion & reply though.
Hi, how many tabs do you let stay open ? The do update all the time and is possible that this is stopping your computer from going to sleep. You can change the update times as per this article : https://www.servethehome.com/firefox-is-eating-your-ssd-here-is-how-to-fix-it/
