What do new versions change/clear/reset to allow massive previous sessions to load quickly the first time, but slower on all to come until the next update?

After Firefox quantum updates on my middling 8 year old windows pc, my 1600+ tabs pevious session launches within two minutes, but subsequent starts take greater than 10 minutes before interaction is possible. This repeats itself the first launch after each new version update, so I may only enjoy this speed benefit once per version. What do new versions change, clear, reset, or replace relating to the program startup so that this may be replicated? It is not the cache. Thank you for your help.

Hi, for a 8yr old computer it maybe best to switch to the Extend Release Version of Firefox 60.0.1esr as it will not be so strenuous on your system. Firefox ESR does not come with the latest features but it has the latest security and stability fixes.

If do :

If do should follow this and if do not do so also please : Please go to Options --> General --> Performance and uncheck the box for Use Recommended Settings and try changing the Process count to 2 and can also go up but note more cpu and ram will be used. You will need to reboot after makng any changes.

Then go to Privacy & Security and down to Permissions. Please ensure that the box for Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser is checked.
