Why can't I connect to wellknown charity websites eg Unicef, Compassion in World Farming, etc? it is most frustrating.
I've always been able to donate to charities fairly easily online, but keep getting the "insecure host" message. Surely these are well-known charities that presumably run secure websites. I now have FSecure to protect my laptop and phone; could it be that? My brother says I need someting like FSecure, my son says Firefox alone should be enough. Don't know! Thanks S Peach (UK)

Hi, if you have been to these sites before please clean your cache and cookies as these sites are now using a different Certificate than they were before.
You can also try going into Fsecure settings if possible and putting these sites into trusted by adding the web address.
Also check with Fsecure https://community.f-secure.com/ forum to see if other users are having issues with current version. Also please update yours.
I find nothing wrong with the sites myself. Please let us know if need help still after checking the above out. Thank You.
I wouldn't have a clue how to clean cache and cookies! This is the problem, as soon as things go wrong you need to be a real tecchie. I am not, I just expect it to work. I'll ask my brother. Thanks
PS. I went into FSecure and changed something slightly (fingers were crossed it wouldn't make the problem worse). It seems to have worked; I can now ask it to allow the sites, which it wouldn't before.
Thank you for trying to help me.
Sue

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.
