My company's audio file uploader is not working for some Firefox users, and its not a cookies/cache issue. Any ideas?

Hi there,

I work for a company that distributes audio online, and I have been hearing from a handful of Firefox users that our uploader (which runs on Adobe Flash) is no longer working in Firefox. These users are running the latest version of Firefox and confirmed that the uploader works on other browsers.

I have no issue with the uploader in my Firefox browser. I've asked users to clear their cache/cookies with no result. Here is a note from a user who tried safe mode:

"Each time I start in safe mode it says update the flash player in the uploader box. I do that and then restart Firefox and have the same problem of the file uploading to the end (progress line goes all the way to the end) and then stops.

It's not a cookies/cache issue, and it's not happening with all Firefox users, so my best guess is that it's related to browser configuration or add-ons. Any tips to try, short of refreshing Firefox?

I understand this is difficult to troubleshoot secondhand, but I appreciate the effort.

Thanks!

Hi, yes we have had a bunch with the issues and it is not just one cure unfortunately.

But some info :

I think a lot of the stuff being fixed actually had nothing to do with Flash. Hard to pin down as I can not search for questions that were solved that way.

Point them at us.
