Hello A few days ago a customer asked me not to use light blue font as it was hard to read I don't and my messages in TB show black font on outgoing messages But to be sure, I checked by sending out a message and then looking at it on the Yahoo server with Firefox as my browser. On Yahoo, it was black too But in the last few days, I've noticed that some messages on the Yahoo server are in fact in light blue What's really weird is that I was chatting with someone today, the messages between us were in black and now the last message from this person is displaying in light blue on Yahoo while if I download it into TB, it is in black. Although it's an incoming message, I have a sneaky feeling that the light blue may be caused by some code in TB cos it's too much of a coincidence. Has anyone else noticed a light blue font suddenly appearing anywhere? Thanks Regards

If the message is sent out with no hard coding in the html then the recipient can read it in whatever colour they want or have set up on their computer.

Check the message you are sending out.

  • Click on 'Sent' folder.
  • select email so you can read it in Message Pane.
  • Click on 'More' and select 'View Source'.

scroll down until you reach the 'html' section. 'body text' will specify colour, so will 'font color'. for example: '#000000' this is black.

To test you could send me an email: mail at anje dot co dot uk

choose one which you know changed to blue font and I'll check the source code.

Hello Toad-Hall

TB does not quite display as you said. I can only see:

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

962F95E8DF4FBF7E579B2DB3

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

but I did find a setting in one email account set to light blue. Strange as the emails themselves seem to be in black and even on the server as I explained. But I'm hoping it's solved now

Thanks for your help
