When high contrast theme is enabled in Windows 10, its impossible to change text color in color options, though link colors can be changed.

Hi, do not know. It maybe you have to turn that off and change Firefox then turn contrast back on as you have not mentioned what you have tried.

There maybe a few more :

No, it doesn't solve this issue. Darkreader makes things slow, and often its not working. In Windows 7 text color change does work, but in windows 10 it doesn't.

Will have to look through this for something useful https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=high+contrast Noticed a grey font one = Font Contrast

... No idea what you are looking for but hope gives you a idea.

I will try to explain once more: 1. windows 10 high contrast theme (green on black) enabled 2. my wish is to have web pages rendered with white text on black 3. in firefox options enabled "Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above" - Always 4. text color in options set to white 5. web pages still rendered with green on black. 6. when this is done on windows 7 it works as expected, not on windows 10.

This sounds more like a O/S issue and you should contact a Windows Forum to see what users there have done.

Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

You can look at the NoSquint Plus extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.
