Hi, Start up the old PC and the New add the New and transfer it. By the sounds of it : It appears from your question, that you are using Firefox Sync as a back up service. This is not what Sync is designed to do. The Firefox Sync service takes a copy of the data you wish to include and transfers it to a second device (typically a mobile device such as a tablet or a telephone) running a copy of Firefox. The storage in between all attached devices is both temporary and fragile and is not stable enough to be (and is not designed as) a reliable backup service.
If you have a copy of your Firefox profile for desktop Firefox, you may be able to recover your bookmarks and other data. Please have a read of these article.

If you have a copy of your data on a mobile version of Firefox, please follow these instructions to connect it to Firefox Sync to copy your data.
Thanks, I tried it but nothing happened.
Hi, you needed to connect your old PC 1st then the new one and transfer to after you have created a spot for it up there.
Sync puts a token on your PC, without the token your not going to be able to do anything.
So it is essentially Pc to Pc or Pc to Mobile ++++ It all starts and ends with the 1st one.
Thanks for the info. Next time I hope I am luckier. Four days ago I connected with my old PC and synched, but then my old PC died. Now I can no longer connect with it. When I connect with the new PC I see them both under "Devices & apps" but cannot do anything else. I imagine that I have loft all my bookmarks and tabs so I´ll start over. Never mind. ;( It might have been better if Synch worked in a way that one could "upload" the bookmarks and tabs under a Device name, then on any connected machine select "download" to receive them back again. That´s how my Palm Agenda works with its own HotSynch. I change upload or download to/from the agenda or desktop as I like. It´s great as I have 3 old Palm M515s, one in use as the active agenda, and 2 as backups that I synch every 3 months.
Sorry about that. It is not made for syncing 1 computer but to transfer between them. But there are others to choose from : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=sync
