As you can see from the screenshot here in Safari, there is an option to "add image to photos". This saves the image directly into the Apple Photos application.

How can I get a similar facility in Firefox for Mac?

My work around so far.

  1. Right click, save as ...
  2. Then select a folder I've created for the purpose.
  3. Created an Automator Folder Service for this folder that has Photos import anything added there.

Not quite as slick as I was looking for, but bearable.

Thanks, but that doesn't get the image into Apple Photos. It gets it into a folder.

Not unless Apple photos installs a option into that location option you save to where it defaults to.

Could scream about....

ok,,, Since above is totally confusing and a waste of time.

Have Firefox Ask Every time when download where you want to save to. Then can put it any where you want that the OS gives you permission to.

Hi, what works works sometimes. Found these, seems like a couple from the brief description might be of use : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?platform=mac&q=save%20image or not.
