Firefox issued another update today, to 62.0, but this additional new update still did not fix Netflix bug: Error Code: F7121-1331-P7 Is anyone in this forum able to escalate the bug report to address this problem with Netflix?

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

to Tyler Downer, Please see the actions already tried by reviewing the link in cor-el's post above. If I had known how to do it, I would have posted the same link as cor-el. But please do not miss my main question: Can anyone in tis forum escalate the bug report to address this problem with Netflix?

more options

No as the problem exists in your system setup and does not exist for others.

Follow directions that are given for results.

Check your Firewall and A/V program : There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender, ESET & sometimes McAfee that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate or interfere with connections with their scanners. If you are running any of the above software please check their community forum for a work around to apply settings.

Pkshadow, As you can see by following cor-el's link above to my previous thread, all of these recommendations have been tried. More importantly, Netflix support tells me that many of their subscribers cannot stream Netflix on Firefox. Netflix recommends using other browsers. My question at this point is if this bug can be escalated. Possibly cor-el can comment on this.

Thanks Pkshadow. The bug was already filed. I was just asking if it can be escalated.

Yesterday I spent an hour on the phone with Netflix support. This is the second time in ten weeks I have contacted Netflix support. They said that a subset of Netflix subscribers who use Firefox 32 bit are unable to stream Netflix. They are working on the issue, and urged me to continue using MS Edge for the time being.

This is not the source of the problem. You can review this thread and the link to the previous one for the things that have been tried.

Since Netflix is working on this problem. Why cannot Mozilla also escalate this bug on their end?

Thanks for the link McCoy. Can you tell me what it means? I don't know how to interpret it. Does it mean my bug was escalated?

What bug are you asking about?

You're right - it doesn't. It's merely an answer to the OP's question about escalating a bug report.

If the op is asking about that bug report, then it isn't being escalated anywhere, because the work around is to use Firefox outside of Private Browsing, or to let Firefox save history.

OP, is that what's happening?
