I use the "From" column in Inbox to quickly review new e-mails . It allows me to see which I can delete without having to open them . It also allows me to save (to a folder) related emails. How do I get the "From" column back?

I suggest you install the latest version (60). It is years since 38 has been the current version.

At the end of the list of headings (from to date etc is a squarish icon. Click it and set the heading entries to whatever you want.

Thank you it worked. It may be that since I still use win XP Pro (I prefer to keep Word Perfect 5.1for DOS as my word processor-- It does so much more, and does so intuitively, than current word processors, but it doesn't run on later versions of Windows) that may be the reason why. However I'm now up to 45.8.0 on Thunderbird with another upgrade possible. Does WordPerfect for DOS (or for Windows) run on Windows 10. I've given up on later versions of Windows in order to keep WordPerfect. But I've heard many good (great) things about Windows 10 as an operating system that I may decide to take the plunge to 10.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

If there is still a word perfect forum somewhere, you might ask there. But my experience on other problematical software has been positive on Windows 10.

I think Columbia university probably has a handle on the issue. http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/wpdos/windowsten.html

Based on their information here http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/wpdos/vdoswp.html I would be trying to use in on 64Bit Window with the dos box application hey discuss. What I would not be doing is having anything to do with Windows XP on an internet connected computer. (I still use it on a daily basis with non networked devices such as GPS, but I still support some Windows 98 controlled equipment as well.)
