Is there a glitch in auto draft saving when multiple email accounts are set up in Thunderbird?
I have several email accounts set up in Thunderbird. I have noticed that sometimes (not always) when I'm editing a draft, Thunderbird auto saves it in the drafts folder in a completely different random email account (it's not that I am necessarily logged onto the network associated with this email server). Although I would move the draft back to the right email account and check that the outgoing email address is correct, it still sends from the account where it had moved it to (my outgoing email gets changed).

Some mail services like gmail enforce strict associations between the sending address (From) and the outgoing server used by the From account, e.g. if account X is sending through the gmail smtp server that has account Y's credentials, gmail will automatically switch the account X's identity with the identity of account Y.
I wonder if the same thing is happening with saving drafts. Open Tools/Account Settings, select an account in the left pane, then look at Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the lower right pane. Is each incoming account set to send through the same, Default, server, or does each one send on an smtp server with the same User name & password as the incoming account?
Each incoming account is set to send through its own SMTP server with the same login details as the incoming account....
Next, I would check the Drafts & Templates section in Copies & Folders for each account (Tools/Account Settings), to make sure drafts are copied to the correct account's folder. Myself, I prefer to have drafts saved from all accounts in the Drafts subfolder of Local Folders.
Doublechecked -- all drafts are set up to be saved in the respective email account. I'm often working on different machines so I avoid using Local Folders....
