Pop-ups appear but are blank
I have a supplier and use an online account on their website. It allows me to select and display invoices for printing. In the case of FF the pop-up appears but is blank. When I asked their support and told them I use FF they told me that it does not work on their site. I tried Chrome and the invoices display fine. This sort of incident is a pain. Is there a solution? Pop-ups are enabled for my FF.

Without knowing what the pop says or does that will be hard to know.
Load the web page. After the page is loaded, click the AdBlock icon. Now select Disable on <website>. Reload the page.
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

Firefox shows the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case Content Blocking is blocking content.
- click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection
You can check the Web Console about what content is blocked
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tracking-protection
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/content-blocking
You can check the Web Console to see if there is detail available about possible blocked content.

Hi theHeatingEngineer, if the earlier suggestions do not resolve the issue:
Do you know whether the popup is meant to display a PDF document? You could temporarily switch PDFs to opening outside Firefox (for example, in Adobe Reader), to see whether that causes the document that should appear in the popup to open in Adobe Reader instead. See: View PDF files using Firefox’s built-in viewer.
If that changes what happens, we then could drill down on why Firefox's PDF Viewer might be coming up blank.
Well, i appreciate all this help. Many thanks. I can see that lots of effort has been made. Sadly I have drawn a blank. I worked through most of the suggestions but have not reinstalled FireFox. I even thought setting the PDF option to download might have worked but again, sadly, it didn't. I discovered that the links to the invoices run a javascript so I presume that it does not run correctly in FF. I'm not a JS programmer.
It is disappointing when sites do not support Firefox. Since we can't get hands on, I think you'll just have to use another browser for that page for now.
Did you check the Web Console to see if there are messages that could provide a clue?

I had a brief look at the Web Console messages and there appear to issues. I am used to using a debugger for some of the older programming languages using a console - my experience goes back a few decades, so I am aware of the type of information being displayed and the principles of the console, but I have no experience with this system. I can't give access to my login on the troublesome website for security reasons but I may be able to cut and paste some of the console output. Can the WC record a session?
