Does anyone know how to highlight in the 65.0beta version of Thunderbird?

I can change the color of text and the whole pages background color but I can't highlight specific text only. I searched for an add on and had no luck. All the add on's I could find stated that they are not compatible with the 65.0beta version.

I frequently highlight text in email correspondence. I can do this in Microsoft word and every other email application I have used. I am resorting to saving my email in Thunderbird and opening it up in my old email application to highlight and then send the email. It's really annoying!

If you read the Add-on Support section of the release notes, it explains why there are practically no add-ons available for TB 65beta.

The Highlighter add-on works here in TB 60.4 (see picture).

If you prefer to insert html for colored backgrounds, see the second picture. That should work in any version of TB (and would be easier with the ThunderHTMLedit add-on mentioned in the notes).

I think I will use the 60.4 version because I need to be able to highlight so often. Thank you so much!
