I log in to my secure site using my user name ,then password, then i am ask the answer to my secrete question. I type in one character and the auto fill suggestion is directly below to click on. If an unauthorized person was able to get this far then the secrete answer is given to them with the correct entry with one stroke. How can I prevent this? I am using Win 7

Hmm, you can delete the entry by pressing the down arrow and then the Delete key. However, it may be re-added by the Form History feature.

You can disable Firefox from saving and displaying Form History, but I don't know of a method to do that only for one site or one page, I am only aware of the global setting.

You can modify that here:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the left column, click "Privacy & Security"

On the right side, scroll down to the History selection and select:

Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

That will reveal individual checkboxes. To disable the form history feature -- this doesn't clear the already saved data -- uncheck the box for
