Online Films Won't Play
Hi Everyone, I took out a subscription with the British Film Institute (https://player.bfi.org.uk/subscription)
After registering without difficulty, I found I could only play the "Free" films and not those available on subscription.
BFI Support seem to think it is something to do with a conflict of privacy/security settings and I wondered if anyone had come across anything similar -- or had any good ideas for resolving it?
I am running F/F Quantum 65.0.2 as my main browser, with DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, AdBlock and AdBlock Plus.
I have "whitelisted" the BFI site in DuckDuckGo but it has made no difference.
Thanks,
Ian

Hi Pj, Thanks for the suggestion -- but it made no difference at all.
I sent the last update to BFI Tech Support on the 6th and, based on their previous performance, would have expected their reply by now, but nothing.
I shall send them a "chaser" and see if that gees them up any.
Ironically though, I had an email from their organisation to tell me my Free Trial would run out on the 12th March !!! Ian
I'm expecting an email from BFI some time next week (explained the problem and asked them to look into it).
I have a "step-by-step plus screen-shots" dialogue with BFI, ongoing since 26th February, and sent a "chaser" earlier today.
Hi Everyone,
I'd hate anyone to think I had just walked away from this, because I haven't ---- BFI Tech Support just dried up with their responses, leaving questions unanswered. There was no apparent reason for this, so I have sent an enquiring email to their CEO (Amanda Nevill) to see if she can throw any light on the subject - but no response from her yet either !!! I'll be back as soon as -- !!

I noticed on their site it says:
For a PC: Windows 8 or higher.
They may not be officially supporting Windows-7. (Win-7 will no longer deliver Security or any other Updates in Jan 2020... unless you pay for extended support.)
I would suggest you not just 'Disable', but UnInstall the IDM Integration Module. Maybe the BFI site won't playback anything if it 'detects' anything appearing to be a Download Manager type of program.
Otherwise, I suggest Disabling the WideVine Plug-In Module. Close FF and restart. Then if that doesn't work, Enable it, close FF and restart it.
