Compose message. Attached jpeg file does not open.

Compose a message. A jpeg file is attached and shown as X.jpeg in the small list at upper right. I clikc or double click the attached file in order to check it is really the right one. Nothing happens: the image does not show up.
The procedure is repeated in Windows Explorer for that same file. Upon click the image immediately opens (by means of JPEGView,

In Tools/Options/Attachments/Incoming, is there an entry for .jpeg Content Type? If so, click the Action drop-down, Delete Action, OK to close Options. Restart TB and repeat the process: attach a jpeg to a message, and double-click the file. You should see a window that is similar to the attached picture, where you can define the opening application and check the box to do this automatically. If the JPEGView app is not listed, Browse to the correct exe file.
