I use Thunderbird to download mail en save it on my laptop. I already have 2 mailaccounts working correctly this way (downloading mail using pop-mail.outlook.com). A few days ago I created a third mailaccount. I succeeded to add this account to thunderbird. When downloading mail the programme asks for a password. I am sure I entered the correct password for my new mailaccount. When using webmail of this account it works using this password. Even though Thunderbird keeps on saying that it is an "unknown username of bad password". I compared all settings of my existing and my new accounts, which are equal. I even removed the saved password, restarted Thunderbird en re-entered the password.

I don't understand why it isn't working. Can anyone help me with this?

Sorry, I see now that I had the same problem about a year ago. I referenced the solution that someone offered me then, and it works. Thanks again!
