This is a common scam/scare tactic. Do not fall for it or click anything on its page. Just close the tab & quit the browser or force quit it with Windows Task Manager if it tries to block your attempts to close the browser. These are fake scams that try to scare you into doing what they want & you could end up losing all your money by calling the number they are showing you. Because they will ask for your personal information to try to hijack your bank account & drain its funds.

Never give any of your personal information to any scam like this. These scams can appear on the internet (like you just saw), in your email or by phone. So stay smart & stay strong. If you are still worried, you can always find your bank statement you receive in the mail & look for the customer service phone number to call them & verify your account is still safe. Or better yet, you can visit your bank branch personally to confirm everything is fine.

Please let us know if you are still seeing this scary alert & we can further advise you on how to remove it. But usually these come to your computer thru infected advertisements that are on the websites you are visiting. So the scary scam appears once or twice & never again. Because they are being shutdown very quickly.

Please read this article to learn about another version of these fake alerts that try to trick you into downloading a fake Firefox update: I found a fake Firefox update

A way out of a trap page is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.
