unable to send emails with urls

Greetings; I am unable to send emails with attached URLs. This happens when I copy & paste into an email and when I try to 'share' a link from the websites page. I have never experienced any problems with Thunderbird until now. This is the message which appears:

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: (#5.0.7.) Server has rejected this connection. Either you are a SpamBot or your server is not connected properly for sending Email(error606). Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

Have checked with my server and all the connections are fine. Server thinks the message may be a 'red herring'. Regret to that I don't know much about computers. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

And what is the server with you? An open server?What browser do you use?
