icloud extension - cannot get it to install, keeps asking to download
I just got a new computer, am trying to install the iCloud extension, not having any luck, had the extension installed and running perfectly on my previous PC. Both are Dell XPS 13's
Apple says it is a Firefox problem. I uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled it, same problem.
Firefox reports the extension is installed but when I return to iCloud to apply the update, it repeats the message in the attached image. I am going around in circles. Please help

A silly question but you've been downloading it from here, correct? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/icloud-bookmarks/
I can't find when the latest update to the addon was made, which is worrying me. Because we are on version 71.0 & the last version of this addon says: Release notes for 2.1.23 Fixes for Firefox 61.
I'll see if I can find anyone else experiencing the same issue & what steps they took to resolve it. As you surely can't be the only one going thru this.

Are there any errors reported in the Browser Console regarding this extension (firefoxdav@icloud.com) ?

After investigating the addon's reviews, it appears it is a problem within the addon itself! So it must be fixed by the addon authors.
