Used to have my favorite websites in a menu bar across the top of the screen. They have disappeared, and I can't find how to get them back or replace them.
I had about 7 or 8 favorite sites in a menu bar across the top of my firefox screen. I did something to make them disappear. I don't know how to get them back. To create them I just grabbed the URL and moved it to this bar, and it would then become a clickable link after that. I can't find out how to create them again.

OK, it's solved. I had to drag the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" into the Toolbar. The article said nothing about doing that. I just kept trying every possibility. Mozilla needs to add that step to the article if a user suddenly finds his Toolbar Items missing from the toolbar.

Right click on top bar and Click Bookmarks toolbar. It should appear again in browser. If not, please post a screenshot of your browser window
That's not my problem. I have my bookmarks menu. What is missing are the clickable links I had for websites on a bar below my tabs bar. I was able to save the url's of favorite sites to this bar by draging the URL there and it would create a clickable link. Here is a CURRENT screenshot.
At the top of the Firefox browser window open the View menu then open Toolbars; click on Bookmarks Toolbar to 'check-mark' that menu item and have the Bookmarks Toolbar be displayed all the time.
You are confusing the bookmark menu with what I am talking about. I have the bookmark menu as you can see from my screenshot. I am not talking about bookmarks. I am talking about clickable links to websites that used to be able to create individually on a bar below the Tabs bar. On that bar I could drag a URL to it and it would create a small rectangular tab with the URL site name and logo in it. Has nothing to do with bookmarks. It was very convenient as it did not require going to any menus to quickly go to one of about 10 sites that I had on that bar.

That's helpful, but my bookmarks toolbar is checked for ON, but it still does not appear on the page, so I have nowhere to drag the site logo or URL to.

You can propose an edit to the Knowledge Base article with a new section for that. In the left column of the article, expand "Editing Tools" for a link.
