New tab+ keeps moving to the right end of the bar. How do I stop it and get it back to the right of the last tab?

Since the upgrade to version 75, the + that you use to open a new tab moved to the extreme right of the bar. It should be to the right of the last tab. The x on each tab to delete them also disappear. I have fixed it be resetting the customization in about:config, but it doesn't stay fixed. It keeps moving back to the extreme right and I lose the x's on the tabs. I does seem to be connected to selecting the Menu Bar. Once when deselected this it corrected itself. Not sure it is still doing that.

Take a look in about:config and look at

browser.tabs.insertAfterCurrent and

browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent

Thank you for the suggestion. On my system both these options were already set to true. I reset customizations again in about:config at browser.uiCustomization.state and this time it didn't reverse back to the error status. Hope it stays correct.

Try Restore Defaults in the Customize palette to see if that returns the plus button to the position after the last tab.

My problem was solved by resetting the customize palette. Then there was a Windows 10 update and the problem returned. Has to reset the Customize palette again.
