Messages in Local Folder Outbox not sent when "Send Unsent Messages"
I cannot induce Thunderbird 68.8.0 to send unsent messages at all. Sending messages immediately works fine. However, messages in the Local Folder Outbox will not send. I have tried right-clicking and "send unsent messages," sending from the File menu, going offline/back online and responding "send" to the pop-up asking whether I want to send any unsent messages, and doing the same after closing Thunderbird and reopening it. In each case, I click the appropriate selection, and then nothing happens.

Please do the following as a test to see if you can force an error pop up that offers more info.
Make sure there is at least one message in the 'Outbox'.
- Menu app icon > Options > Options > Advanced > 'Network & Disc Space' tab
- click on 'Offline...' button
- Select checkbox: 'Automaticly Follow Detected Online State'.
- Set the 'Send unsent Messages ....' to 'Ask Me'.
- Set the 'Download Message for Offline...' to 'No'.
- click on OK
In bottom Status Bar - far left -
- click on the 'two blue screen' icon to go into 'Offline' mode.
The icon will change to a 'two black screen' icon when in offline mode.
- Click on the 'two black screen' to return to 'online' mode and you should get a pop up asking 'do you want to sent the unsent messages now'.
- Click on 'Send now'.
What, if any, pop up error message do you see? Take a screendump image to capture image of the message. It s important to know exactly what it says word for word.
I suspect this has something to do with your outgoing smtp settings, possibly even an old smtp no longer used. But need to know what error pops up.
