When I enter a subdomain Firefox goes to the old destination, not to the correct one.
When I enter http://mauldin.scottcrosby.info
the browser should show webpage: https://www.scottcrosby.info/scottschoice.us/mauldin.html Instead it displays the old webpage that link used to point to: https://politics.scottcrosby.info/mauldin.html
Why? How do I fix it? All browsers on other PCs, and IE and MS-Edge on this PC work correctly.

To see whether this could be something stuck in the cache, could you try opening the link in a private window? For example, right-click the link and choose Open Link in New Private Window.
If that works correctly, this article has the steps to clear the old page/redirect from cache:
How to clear the Firefox cache
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
