I was surprised to find that it is no longer possible to search for messages for all headers, i.e. To, From, Cc in one, single search.

For some reason, this search feature has now been removed, and one can now only search either messages "From", or "To/cc", i.e. not combined.

This was a very useful feature, as it allowed searching for communication with, to and from, someone. I do not want to search globally for a keyword, as that is not a useful way to generate a communication thread. (I am generally not at all a fan of removing features and functionality, as that invariably limits usability).

Will this be reinstated, and meanwhile, is there an alternative way to do a single search in From/To/Cc headers?

Many thanks.

(I noticed someone else's post about this, so here's an update).

It seems that Thunderbird now prevents a user from running a From+To+Cc+Bcc search if the search is to run on the server. If that is the case, I must say that I find that a frustrating change to have been implemented.

You can achieve almost the same result with a search filter as in the attached picture.
