cannot send email
I get this error message: The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds a temporary size limit of the server. The message was not sent; try to reduce the message size or wait some time and try again. The server responded: 452 4.7.1 <xxxxxxxxx>: Recipient address rejected: xxx.xxxx.xx exceeded hourly recipients threshold..
Using Yahoo email. Have tried all suggestions found on line Contacted email provider they say it is an issue with thunderbird. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling nothing works. Also turned off firewall temporarily

How many recipients are you sending to? Try sending it via webmail, let's see if the same or other error is encountered. May not be Tbird's issue at all.
I can send from web mail and it doesn't matter whether it is 1 or 10 recipients I still get the same error message.
Okay. That smtp error 4.7.1 indicates the service is unavailable which could suggest a configurarion error in Yahoo's smtp server(s). The error 452, however, indicates the number of recipients exceeded the limit imposed by the smtp server. These messages can be quite confusing, but in this case, an outtage or misconfiguration of Yahoo's server are most likely the cause. Try sending the exact same message using a different smtp server, like Gmail's smtp server for example.
