I recently purchased a 2020 iMac and have found accessing my yahoo mail account cumbersome. Each time I open Firefox, I have to start from scratch to access my yahoo emails (search for yahoo mail sign-in link, enter yahoo email account, enter yahoo password). Incredibly time-consuming and frustrating. On my previous iMac (purchased 2008!), yahoo mail opened immediately when Firefox opened, making it very easy to quickly check my email. I have been unable to reproduce this rapid access route, despite spending a few hours on the phone with Yahoo (which finally gave up and suggested asking Firefox). Bookmark for yahoo mail vanishes when Firefox is closed and then re-opened. Same for top sites. Direct yahoo email access remains only as long as Firefox remains open. I would appreciate help in creating an efficient route from opening Firefox to reading my yahoo emails. Thanks!

First, as far as a bookmark disappearing when Firefox is closed. Perhaps you didn't actually install Firefox and are running it from the DMG download file package?

As far as a specific page opening each time that you open Firefox, please see this:
