Thunderbird email hosting
Hi. I have an old email POP3 account from talktalk. I have had it for many years. I still use it and receive emails on it every day. I have not been a customer of talktalk for many years although I still have this @talktalk.net email address. Recently TalkTalk have said they will remove my account. Can they do this? Thanks

Of course they can. You said it yourself that you have not been their customer for years. I'm surprised you still had access to their email service without having a contractual agreement of any kind with them. They are not a free email service provider, are they?
Hi. They were once my service provider. When I moved to another service provider I just kept the talktalk email address. They have threatened many times over the years that they will remove my account, but have never done so. They want me to upgrade to a new service. If I dont, they threaten to delete my account with any access to any emails. The email they sent recently is just another threat. If they can remove my account, why havent they in all these years?
Only they can answer that, don't you think? What's this got to do with Thunderbird?
