Firefox drop out of accounts on some websites, for example: https://vk.com https://mail.ru/ https://yandex.ru https://www.google.ru/ Try to make exceptions in the privacy settings. Not helping. It wasn't before. What to do?

Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie, so you need to keep such a cookie.

You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:

  • create a cookie allow exception with the proper protocol (https:// or http://) to make a website remember you

If you want to clear cookies:

  • use "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" to let cookies without allow exception expire when Firefox is closed
  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Permissions"

Are you using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the browsing history ?

Firefox 82+ comes with a feature to automatically purge the cookies for websites that haven't been visited recently, so if you clear the history then Firefox can clear cookies.

You can disable the feature to purge tracking cookies automatically via the about:config page.

  • privacy.purge_trackers.enabled = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

I also have this problem on Youtube. Firefox is 82.0.2 64bit on Win 7 SP2

I appear logged in to my Youtube account but I can't comment, like, dislike, edit comment etc... Safe Mode also didn't help. Deleting cookies and cache didn't help. Chrome works on the same Win 7 machine without any problem.

I appear logged in on the right top site but when I open Youtube Menu on the left, I appear not logged in. If I try to log in using the button on the left, I get this message; 405. That’s an error. The request method GET is inappropriate for the URL /youtubei/v1/guide. That’s all we know.

I also get a "Your session has expired" message if I click on Subscribe button on any channel.

This appeared today, after I updated Firefox. Please help.
