Email liberation
Hello!
Today we backed up Tbird profile folder xxxxxxxx.default from an old machine. We next installed fresh copy Tbird on new machine. Then we attempted to copy-paste contents of xxxxxxxx.default into the new default folder on the new machine. We noticed however there were 2 folders on the new machine: one named "xxxxxxxx.default" and another named "xxxxxxxx.default-release." Not knowing which folder to use, we went with "default." When we opened Tbird up we didn't see any of our old emails or folders, so obviously we picked the wrong folder.
In the meantime, we happened to download about 200 messages that had been accumulating on the server. Those messages went into the new xxxxxxxx.default-release profile folder on the new machine.
We knew we would still need to overwrite the contents of the xxxxxxxx.default-release folder with the contents of the old xxxxxxxx.default. folder. So we backed up the contents of the xxxxxxxx.default-release folder, with its 200 messages. However, we now have 200 valuable email messages sitting in the backed up folder. Is there any way to rescue these emails, and get them into the inbox in my new profile (which now contains all the old backed files from the old machine). If any part of this isn't clear, please ask me to clarify.
Much much advance thanks.

Update.... i figured it out.
Made a new temp sub-folder below Inbox on new installation (will delete this later).
Then closed Tbird.
Then copy the mbox file backup into new .sbd temp folder, located in profile folder under Mail>Local Folder.
Open Tbird. Move files out of temp folder and into proper folders. Delete temp folder.
