In account settings composition & addressing there is no way to enable / disable address autofill per account.

This is only possible at the global level.

Ideally would like to be able to restrict autofill per account and only allow an account autfill for selected address books

E.G. Personal email account - personal address book Business email account - business address book and collected addresses Hobby email account - all address books ... etc ...

There were at least two add-ons that had this option, but neither of them work in TB 78, and I'm not aware of any substitutes. There is a method to exclude certain address books from autocomplete:

Thanks, the solution mentions ldap which is not relevant.

I would say this is a missing core Thunderbird feature - not an add-on request. Should be under tools / account settings / Composition & Addressing

If you enter ldap_2.servers in Config. editor, you will see that it also refers to local address books, not just LDAP ones, e.g. ldap_2.servers.pab.description refers to Personal Address Book.
