Getting empty emails when I use TB filters on gmail accounts to copy emails to local folders
I have several gmail accounts, which I can successfully access through TB. I have been trying to set up filters for each of the gmail accounts to 1) copy email based on the filter criteria to a Local folder in TB 2) move the email to the gmail trash folder
So for example, I might have a Local folder for "Newsletters", and will have a filter for each gmail account that would move appropriate emails from that account into the Local "Newsletters" folder.
This works to some extent - however, I often get just headers with no information at all, but the gmail would get correctly moved to the account's trash folder. I tested this and found that if I sent several emails matching a "test" filter to any of the gmails and then opened that gmail's inbox to trigger the filter (set to "apply filter when getting new mail") , the first email would be copied correctly, but all the following emails would show up with only the header being copied. I don't have any anti-virus scanning Tbird emails, and I have synchronization on. I turned off the "apply filter when getting new mail" and just left "run manually" on, and sent more emails. Running the filter manually works correctly, and all emails are completely copied into the local folder.
I tried various ploys, including putting "stop filter execution" as the last action, to slow down the running of the filter when it's in "auto" mode, but nothing changed the result. So there's some timing issue going on, and it has to do with there being multiple emails being processed by the same filter.
If anyone has any suggestions on dealing with this, I'm all ears.
Thanks, K

Given the way filters work on IMAP, sometimes executing before the message body is downloaded changing execution to after classification may actually stop that.
Also check the folder is set to store messages locally. It is hard to move what is not on the system to move.

Thanks, setting the filters to execute after junk classification seems to have fixed the problem!
