I was having this issue (or similar) when trying to use Facebook on Firefox (92.01 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 Pro PC) and I found that if I left clicked on the shield next to address bar and turned off the "Enhanced Tracking Protection On for this site" then all the missing images reappeared.

I have Enhanced Tracking Protection on and images load. I am using 'Standard' protection.
