Trouble with TV5MONDEplus.com
French expat in Asia I noticed that since the launch of this free website, Firefox 93.0 running with macOS Big Sur 11.6 is unable to connect properly with the French TV5MONDEplus website. Access to the site is entirely possible but the connection seems to stop as soon as you try to view the programs offered… This problem doesn't arise by using Chrome.

It looks like you need to log in to use the services offered.
Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?
Make sure you are not blocking content.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

I obviously identify myself to see the programs of TV5MONDEplus . So this is not the origin of the bug. I easily navigate the site, see all the programs and videos offered, but as soon as I try to click on a movie/video to watch it, the connection seems to stop before loading the video and shows only an empty blue screen. When I click BACK the program presentation site reappears and responds normally...

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:
You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings).

- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

Why make it simple when we can make it complicate ?! So I use Safari 15.3 or Chrome 98.0.4758.80 which let me see exactly what I want when I want without getting headaches
