I have tried to do the reset as described (I entered chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml in Firefox) and got to the dialog with the reset option and selected it and got message that password had been reset. However, I still cannot get into Thunderbird without entering the Primary Password. How do I actually reset the password so that I can get into Thunderbird?

Did you actually try that in Firefox or in TB?

I tried again in Thunderbird Error console and for some reason it worked this time! Thanks!
