After archiving Inbox I only can access archived emails over search function

more options

I selected all the emails in my Inbox and clicked on archive. My archive setting was set to my email adress, not locally. After i clicked on archive all emails dissapeared from my inbox as expected. Later I set my archive setting to locally and also archived my Outbox emails. The problem is i can only find my archived outbox emails in the archive folders. Local archive folder as the online archive folder both the same. But when I search for specific words, also my inbox emails show up and it says they are in the archive folder, but when i go on the archive folder they are not. So rigth now i have to know what an specific email was about or what words it contained to find it, i cant just browse my old emails. Does someone know what i can do about it? Thank you!

If search says they should be in the imap 'Archive' folder then it is possible that folder needs the index to be fixed. That folder has just had a major change, so try the following:

  • Right click on 'Archive' folder and select Properties'
  • click on 'Repair folder' button
  • click on OK
