My firefox account was hacked. My Passwords were accessed. I believe that Thunderbird is being used to redirect my incoming emails to folders within my email account. I installed Thunderbird on my computer. But, Thunderbird would not accept my email address and current password. How can Thunderbird be removed from my account.

The uninstall process varies a bit, depending on your OS version. In Windows 11, click Windows icon in tool bar (or click the Windows key on keyboard) and enter uninstall, which should bring up the 'Add or Remove Programs' panel.

Currently my inbox emails are selectively being directed to another folder. I have attempted to sign-in to Thunderbird. Thunderbird recognizes my account. But does not verify my current password for the email account. I believe that the hackers are redirecting my emails using Thunderbird.

Is you email being redirected by say Google to folders like important. Just because things you do not understand occur, or what you consider to be a correct passwords is rejected. It does not mean you have been hacked. The incidence of hacking of mail in a non corporate environment is exceedingly low. Unless you are the subject of identity theft and it that is the case you have much larger worries than email. The incidence where Thunderbird was used for hacking is Zero as far as I am aware.

The vague startment oyu have made that Thunderbird fails to verify your account would lead me to believe it may not even be getting to the internet around other security software like software firewall installed by internet security suites or even a VPN, few of which actually work with non browser based email.
