Every time I close Thunderbird, I have to set up my emails configuration, password and email settings from scratch as if I was installing from zero. Why?

Every time I close Thunderbird, when I open it again, I have to set up my emails configuration, password and email settings from scratch as if I was installing from zero. Why?

I attach the screen I see every time I start Thunderbird, after having configured well (and even loading all my emails). This has happened already twice. What can I do so my email accounts settings are saved? I have Thunderbird in the Applications folder in iMac desktop computer on MacOS Monterey 12.2.1.

This usually happens because the TB icon hasn't been dragged to the Applications folder:

Thanks, indeed the disk remains in finder, but the app was already in Applications folder, and the problem remains...and repeats...

Read the support article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-thunderbird-on-mac

Take particular note of the Common problems part of that.
