Cannot open PDF from MS365/Sharepoint site. Error message: "ERROR: URL provided is expired or invalid. Please reinitiate the workflow..." Checked:

  1. 1 Other file types open/download correctly.
  2. 2 Other browsers open PDFs correctly.

The issue seems restricted to Firefox and PDFs.

Home or work computer? VPN or not VPN?

A screenshot showing the full browser would be more helpful to us.

As requested by @jonzn4SUSE, here is the screen shot of the full browser, which now shows the URL.

For me, we are on MacBook BigSur 11.6.3 and the latest Firefox 102.0.1.

We have tried all possible choices in Firefox > Preferences > Applications to instruct Firefox how to open PDF, but always the same error.

We have two plugins loaded

  • OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc.
  • Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc.

but no other extensions or add-ins.

Opening the same PDFs stored on Sharepoint works fine in Safari.

Sorry for the delay.

My issue is identical to kcook2 above, though on a PC running updated Win10, latest version of FF, work computer, no VPN. The issue is new.

Evidently not an Adobe issue, b/c PDFs open normally from the same Sharepoint site, using any browser except FF.

As relayed by kcook2, changing default handling for PDF docs in FF settings does not solve the issue. I too have tested all option settings for PDF handling, with no success.

Screenshot attached.

The link is simply the name of any pdf doc in a MS OneDrive/Sharepoint folder. In any browser other than FF, clicking the pdf name in the file list opens a pdf viewer in a new tab. This is a new (1 week old?) issue.

Thanks.
