With the current update to the 102 beta, the add-on "Lightning" has an issue. When creating creating a New Event for a "Future" (aka: not the current date), Lighting does not update the New Event Window with the new (future) date but retains the "current/today's" date.

First select the future date in the mini calendar of the Calendar tab, then create the new future event.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion, however, your suggestion is exactly what I have done in all previous versions of Thunderbird (versions 91 and earlier). However, this approach does not work for the newly released version 102.0.3. The New Event takes the current system date, not the date that is selected from the mini calendar. Best regards

Judging from your screenshot you first open the New Event window and then click on the future date in the mini calendar of the New Event window. This is not what I said. When first select the future date in the mini calendar of the main Calendar tab it does works here with TB 102.1.0.

Sorry if I confused you, but no, originally and in my last reply, I always went to the NEW date First, then I selected New Event. Please advise where I get 102.1.0 as I am running 102.0.3 Thank you.

With further investigation, the above failure happens only from the "Mail" page. If I open the "Calendar" tab and select a date and create an EVENT, the EVENT has the date I selected. That said, once I close the Calendar tab, leaving the Mail tab open and select a date from the "mini calendar" then create and EVENT, the default date happens to be the one I selected on the "Calendar" tab when I opened it and that date remains for whatever date I select from the "mini calendar" on the Mail tab. Thus, my workaround for the moment will need to be, do not use the mini calendar but open the full Calendar tab and create events there. Cheers

If I open the "Calendar" tab and select a date and create an EVENT, the EVENT has the date I selected.

That's what I've been saying all along.

Please advise where I get 102.1.0 as I am running 102.0.3

It will be released some time next week, but I wouldn't expect it to behave any different than v102.0.3.
