All toolbars are managed from View>Toolbars.
I would like the spaces toolbar to be at the left bottom below the folder section like in Outlook, so it does not take up an entire column for very little use.

The Spaces Toolbar is so annoying. We need a way to hide it or make it go away forever. Give the user more control of how to customize Thunderbird. Don't put new stuff in Thunderbird that we're forced to live with whether we like it or not, that's not democratic it's tyranny.
Well, I told you were the menu option is to remove it, so you can stop complaining.
Allow us to configure whether we want this spaces toolbar or not and where we want it!

I don't think you can remove (or move) the Spaces Toolbar. You can hide it (in case you didn't see it), click on the arrow, bottom left (see pic). As for the Calendar icon, right click the toolbar, customize... find the icon and drag it to where you want it... I like this little empty spot (red arrow).

You said "Well, I told you were the menu option is to remove it, so you can stop complaining." Okay Mr smarty pants, I did that and guess what, it only works for the current session. When you close Thunderbird and restart again that annoying toolbar re-emerges again like Jason.
So now do you have another smarty pants answer for us? I'll wait.. tick, toc, tick...
Grow up. The others on this forum are adults and it will behoove you to act accordingly. If the spaces toolbar is unticked, it does not come up. There are thousands of people using this feature (or not) and you are the only one grousing about it. You didn't pay for it, you don't need to use it. Some people think it is an excellent feature; some do not. It is not unusual for people to not use all the features. If you are having difficulty in getting a feature to work, you're welcome to post here. But if all you want to do is whine about features you don't use, then you waste everyone's time. If you want to make recommendations on what features should, or should not, be in Thunderbird, then post it on bugzilla.
Oh just shut up David. Your a clown... LOL
