Before the new update of Firefox the drop-down menu would color itself a red color, if one of the options were already chosen. For example, if a webside had selectable options of answers in a drop down menu, and answer A already was selected, it's fillcolor/highlight would be red - ensuring the same options wouldn't be chosen multiple times.

How do I get this "feature" back?

Do you mean the visited color of a link you already have opened ?

You may have used an extension to color those selections. Note that not all extensions are enabled in Private Browsing mode.

This options AFAIK works but if you have settings to clear Cache/History it will default back to before they were clicked. Did you check your settings if anything was changed or if Addons changed this setting?

I don't have my setting to clear cache/history ever.

And I can't say if any settings are different, the change happened when I updated Firefox to it's newest version around May/June.

No, not the color of website links visited (those change from blue to purple as always).

I mean the options in drop down menus, set by websites, if one option is already picked Firefox used to highlight the option as red, so it wouldn't be chosen multiple times.
