This regards our Mozilla Thunderbird email. After sending an e-mail, and then looking in the sent folder, it does not show up. I have to use the "search" in order to find it. It never worked this way before. Also, when trying to find e-mails in my other customized folders, nothing shows up. The whole method of folders is not working. This was noticed 3 days ago. I checked my settings, and it shows that the folders are to hold the emails. Can't figure it out. My husband has died and I need your assistance. I need help with folder set up as many wound up in archives, then by category. Very difficult to get to. Thank you. Darlene

Check you have these settings:

  • Menu icon > View > Folders > All
  • Menu icon > View > Threads > All

If you have those settings or selecting those settings does not fix: See if this works to fix 'Sent' folder:

  • Right click on 'Sent' folder and select 'Properties'
  • Click on 'Repair Folder' button
  • Click on 'OK'

Check to see if you still have a filter operating on the 'Sent' folder. In 'Quick Filter Bar' - are any of the icons highlighted ? eg: pin, unread etc If yes, then click on the icon to disable it or is something still in the search? If yes, click on the small 'x' to clear it.

If any of the above two methods work on 'Sent', then do the same on any other folder not displaying correctly.

Report back on what you find.
