On the landing page for youtube, I used to be able to right mouse click on a video thumbnail and select "open image in a new tab" from the context menu and see the thumbnail in a new tab window.

After recent updates, (now using 111.0.1 64bit , on windows 10 pro), this feature no longer exists. It's not a change on youtube because the thumbnail is still recognized as an image and can be opened in a new tab when I use Edge browser. It seems like Firefox no longer recognizes the thumbnail as an image.

Is there any setting I can change to get the feature of "open image in new tab" back into the context menu. or somehow get Firefox to recognize the thumbnail as an image ?

Well, some positive update news. I'm now using version 113.0.2 (64-bit). I find that if I right-mouse click on the thumbnail multiple times, an extended menu will appear and "open image in new tab" will appear on the list of options. If I only right-click once, the limited menu will appear without the image options.

I'm having this problem too ... last couple of updates. Keeps coming and going, so they're breaking this functionality constantly. I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit. Thumbnails show with Chrome. What's going on Mozilla? I'm on version 114.0 (64-bit). It doesn't matter what site I'm trying to paste links into. Wish there was a setting that could be turned on and off so we can do something about this ourselves.
